ICYMI: Kaepernick, 49ers' defense hand Eagles first loss



An off-balance Colin Kaepernick improvised, threw across his body and across the field, finding Frank Gore open near the opposite sideline more than 20 yards away.

Gore bailed out a broken play and helped get the San Francisco 49ers back on track with a big day.

He caught that career-best 55-yard touchdown and ran for 119 yards in his first 100-yard game of 2014, as San Francisco handed the Eagles their first loss, 26-21, Sunday. Read more.

'Cricket Business Community' has ideas for aid during Ardmore project construction

Businesses on Cricket Avenue in Ardmore are hoping for aid during the One Ardmore Place construction project.(Andy Stettler/Main Line Times)

Now that redevelopment of Ardmore’s Cricket Lot is a “go project” and no longer a guessing game, neighboring businesses are asking Lower Merion Township for help during construction.

Nearly two dozen owners of businesses surrounding the parking lot on Cricket Avenue came to a board of commissioners meeting Sept. 17, calling on township officials to step up planning for what could be an 18- to 24-month construction period. Read more.
